I think that a great place to start with this forum is to post a topic that will discuss different resoures that we have used to come to the understanding of philosophy and religion that we each have today. None of our ideas came from a vacuum! Much of it (hopefully) came from our own personal research into what is out there.

Without getting too wordy, throw out a list of books or articles that you think helped you along the way! Links to these resources would be much appreciated! :D 

I'll begin with something appropriate to start out at. If you are at the MOST basic level of philosophy and have NEVER opened a book on philosophy in your life then I would recommend "Philosophy for Dummies" by Tom Morris. Now you may be laughing, but seriously! If you have never cracked open a philosophy book then this is a great place to get a basic glimpse into the world of philosophy. Everybody has to start somewhere! :P
